FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Will you continue to offer online Worship Experiences?
Yes! Our worship gatherings will be livestreamed on Sundays at 9:00 and 11:00 AM on YouTube, Facebook (Parkwood Windsor), our church website and app.

Why do I need to sign up to attend a live gathering?
Guidelines set by the provincial government require that our capacity be limited to ensure physical distancing.  In order to comply, signing up to attend a gathering helps us monitor the number of people to ensure safe physical distancing.

What type of safety precautions is the church taking?
Our staff and volunteers have been trained in health and safety practices. We are following social distancing guidelines and we are diligently sanitizing high-touch surfaces throughout the building. More on that below.

When should I arrive at church?
Please arrive no earlier than 30 minutes before gatherings, and don’t linger or congregate in the building before or after church in order to allow us time to properly clean and disinfect before and after gatherings.

Where will I enter?
Only the front entrance (facing the expressway) is open to guests entering the building in order to help us monitor and check in guests and maintain safe social distancing practices. Interior doors remain open at all times to avoid having to touch door handles. Our goal is to provide you with a touch-free experience as much as possible.

Will I receive a wellness check as I arrive?
No, but if you have any of the following symptoms of COVID-19 or if you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, please delay your visit and contact your health care provider or visit an assessment centre for testing (fever, new onset of cough, chills, unexplained fatigue, headache, sore throat, runny/stuffy nose, lost sense of taste or smell, difficulty breathing, difficulty swallowing, pink eye, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or stomach pain).

Do I need to wear a face mask?
Guests ages 2+ are asked to wear face masks at all times while entering, exiting and moving around the building, but are welcome to remove them when seated in the auditorium while maintaining safe physical distancing (3 chairs or 6 feet between yourself and the next person/family  in your row).

What type of social distancing can I expect?
Main floor auditorium seating has been rearranged to ensure social distancing. Families in the same household are encouraged to sit together, but we ask that you leave 3 seats between you and the next person/family in your row. In the balcony, some pews are closed off and we ask that you leave 2 meters or 6 feet between your family and the next person/family in your row. Our ushers will assist with seating as needed.

What type of sanitization can I expect?
Before, after and during gatherings, our custodial team diligently sanitizes the auditorium, door handles, high-touch surfaces and restrooms. Hand sanitizing stations are available throughout the building and you are strongly encouraged to use them!

Is the cafe open?
The café and coffee carts are not open at this time.

What about my kids?
We are now offering Kids Ministry in the 9 AM gathering for babies through grade 5 and in the 11 AM gathering for babies and toddlers up to age 2. Pre-registration is required. Visit our kids page for details. In the 11 AM gathering,  activity packets are available for kids ages 3+ at the check-in desk to help keep them engaged. A Moms Room is available for nursing moms and a Wiggles & Giggles room where parents can take their toddlers who need a break to wiggle and giggle. Our gatherings are livestreamed in both rooms, so you won't miss a thing.

What about other groups or programs in the church?
Our midweek Kidsplosion (Wednesdays at 7 PM for grades 1-5),  JHM (Wednesdays at 7 PM for grades 6-8), HSM (Fridays at 7 PM for grades 9-12) and Young Adults (Mondays at 7:30 PM for ages 18-30) programs are operating live and in-person. Pre-registration is required. Visit their web pages for full details and registration.

What other changes can I expect?
We no longer pass the plate to receive your offering. Donation boxes have been installed next to all exit doors in the auditorium for your convenience. You can also give online (click GIVE on the homepage for information), mail your donations or drop them off in our mail slot at the church's west entrance.

On Communion Sundays, we no longer pass trays to distribute the emblems. Instead, packaged communion cups are placed on each chair/pew for your convenience.
