Expanding our tent for future generations.
God has been moving at Parkwood over the last few years, expanding our reach further than ever. However, this growth brings a challenge. While our auditorium handles large gatherings, our remaining space cannot support our expanding student ministries (kids, youth, and young adults). On Sundays, limited space forces us to turn families away from kids' programs and restricts student growth. We believe God is pouring out His Spirit on the next generation, and expanding our church will create the room needed for transformed lives and students coming to know Jesus.

September 2026
As construction continues, we’re beginning to see more of the details that will give these spaces their finished look. Work on the exterior, as well as the interior, continues as we move into another exciting stage of the project. There’s still work ahead, but every step is worth celebrating. We’re trusting God with every detail and looking forward to the day these spaces are filled with worship, community, laughter, prayer and lives being changed by Jesus.
August 2026
This month brought some major milestones: the Kids City and Youth Lounge exterior walls were finished, the roof above the Youth Lounge was installed, the new Food Bank construction has begun, and work on the Youth Centre entrance has continued, along with the new Auditorium. It’s incredible to watch the vision God placed in our hearts become more visible with every passing month. This project has never been just about a building, it’s a Kingdom project! We’re making room for people to encounter Jesus, grow in their faith and find home in His family.
July 2026
Construction continued to move forward this month as exterior walls went up and structural steel framing was added for the Youth Lounge. Electrical upgrades also took place throughout the building. There are countless details involved in a project like this, many of which may never be noticed once the building is finished, but every detail matters. We’re grateful for the people faithfully working behind the scenes to help bring this vision to life.
June 2026
The Youth Lounge exterior walls began going up this month, giving us an even clearer picture of the spaces to come. Every wall represents more than another step in construction. These will be spaces where students can build friendships, grow in their faith, worship Jesus and discover what it means to belong to His family. We’re building with the next generation in mind.
May 2026
For the first time, the building began to rise above the foundation. With underground plumbing and electrical work complete, construction began on the Youth Centre’s exterior masonry walls. What was once a vision is becoming something we can see with our own eyes. We’re thankful for every step and trusting God with what this space will mean for generations to come.
April 2026
April brought some exciting milestones as footings and foundation walls began going in for the Youth Centre. Demolition also began on the existing corner of Kids City to make room for what’s ahead. The foundation may not be the most visible part of a building, but it’s what everything else is built upon. We’re praying that everything built here will be firmly founded on Jesus Christ and His Word.
March 2026
This month, the groundwork for the expansion began to take shape. Topsoil was stripped, excavation continued, and storm sewer installation got underway. Much of this work happens beneath the surface, but it’s essential to everything that comes next. As we build, we’re reminded that a strong foundation matters, both for a building and for the people who will one day fill these spaces.
February 2026
The first steps of construction officially began on February 27, 2026, with site demolition and the removal of pine trees around our future Youth Centre. It’s exciting to see a vision move from plans on paper to something we can see. We’re grateful for what God has already done and are looking forward to all that He will do through this project.
November 2025
On November 30, 2025, our church family gathered outside in the cold for the Groundbreaking Ceremony of our Build This House expansion project! Pastor Danny Gray, along with the Pastoral Team, led us in prayer to dedicate the project to the Lord and officially break ground. We were honoured to have Pastor George Carroll join us and pass the original, ceremonial shovel from 1989 to Pastor Danny. What a special moment to celebrate God’s faithfulness and look forward with expectation to what’s still to come. All glory to God!
March 2025
The Gym renovations are officially complete! From a fresh coat of paint to new flooring, backboards and nets, this space has seen quite the transformation over the few months! This space is now ready to welcome our church family for another season of connection, activity and community.
December 2024
The courtyard playground renovations are officially completed! We’re excited to see this space become a place for children to play, make friends and experience the love of Jesus through our church family. We can’t wait to see the joy and laughter that will fill this space! What a privilege to invest in the lives of the next generation.
June 2024
The first renovations of our expansion project are officially underway! This month, we will begin painting our Gym and transforming our courtyard into a future outdoor play area for children, marking an exciting new chapter for Parkwood. We look forward to renovating and expanding our space so that God’s Kingdom can grow!
