Parkwood Kids exists to help kids and families
find hope in the person of Jesus and find home in His family.
Our philosophy is that the church and family can do more together than either one can do alone.
We want to work strategically, partner intentionally, and program appropriately, so that we can positively influence your child’s future.
To support you, we’ve created gatherings that are geared to serving kids, others that are about equipping parents, and some that are meant to engage and equip families together.

OUR PROGRAMS
SUNDAY AM
Programs are available for kids aged 0 - grade 5 at both of our Sunday gatherings!
Enter at the Gym entrance and head right to the check-in centre to check in your child using our secure check-in system. Should you need help locating the Kids' Check-In, our welcome team volunteers will be happy to direct you.
Our check-ins team will help get your kids registered for our programs so they can be checked in using our secure check-in system each week. If you'd like to save yourself a few minutes on Sunday morning, you can complete the registration form online here.

Check-in begins 30 minutes before each Sunday gathering and is required for all children being dropped off. Classroom doors open 15 minutes before each gathering. Please check in ASAP when you arrive at church as capacity is limited in all classrooms.
What do the kids programs look like?
Our programs look different depending on your kids' ages, but in all classrooms we want to focus on building a safe and healthy community. That's why we have parents, grandparents, teenagers, and volunteers* of all ages taking turns to show love and care to our kids each Sunday. Our schedules are filled with worship, Bible stories, games, and activities to reinforce the weekly teachings and, of course, there's always room for free play and snacks!

What if I'm not ready to drop my kids off to your programs?
That's totally okay! Wiggles & Giggles Room is available at both services. The Wiggles & Giggles room is an open-play space with a livestream of the Sunday service so your kiddos can play while you take in the service. We know mornings can be tough, and some days, your littles just aren't up for their Sunday class, or maybe you have a baby that you're just not ready to drop off in the nursery, or maybe you have a little with additional needs and aren't able to sit through the Sunday gathering...but you still want to come to church. Wiggles & Giggles is for you! You can still connect with the Parkwood family, get your church fix, and have a safe place for your child to play. Wiggles & Giggles is located just off of the west lobby. (Please note that this room is not staffed by volunteers, so a parent/guardian MUST remain with children.)
Hey Moms!
We have a dedicated space just for you. The Moms Room is located inside our nursery (just ask a volunteer to direct you). It has comfortable chairs, a changing station, a refrigerator, and video feed from the service so you won’t miss a thing! To respect everyone’s privacy, this room is for women only. There are additional baby changing stations in our family washroom and most of our main washrooms, both male and female.

FRIDAYS @ 9 AM
Join us on Friday mornings for Mommy & Me--a time for young moms with babies, toddlers and preschoolers to connect and play!
WHEN: Fridays, 9:00-11:00AM -- Drop in whenever and stay as long as you can. We know life with littles is busy and you're sometimes at the mercy of nap time!
WHERE: Room 207
Some weeks we'll have childcare volunteers available so the mommas can sneak away to chat, do a Bible Study or a special activity. We know mommin' ain't easy, and we believe it is so important for new moms of littles to connect with each other, and we're SO excited to be able to spend some time together! CHURCH AT HOME
We believe the most important thing a parent can do is invest in their child's spiritual life at home. So, whether you're looking for something to do at home with your kids on Sunday mornings if you can't make it to church, or you just want a little extra something in your week, we've gathered some of our favourite developmentally-appropriate Bible-based online resources for kids.
CHILD DEDICATION
We love celebrating life with young families, and we believe there is huge value in following the biblical example of child dedication. This is a public commitment in which parents declare their intent to raise their child in a Christian home and follow the Lord’s leadership in the development of their child. In turn, the church family commits to doing all that we can to love and support this child and family as they grow together in our church.
