Our MOMS ROOM is open during Sunday gatherings.
We've set up a WIGGLES + GIGGLES room - a space you and your kiddos can go to, if you need a break from the auditorium.

PRESCHOOL & KINDERGARTEN (ages 0-5)
ELEMENTARY (grades 1-5)

Parkwood Kids exists to HELP KIDS AND FAMILIES FIND HOPE IN THE PERSON OF JESUS CHRIST
and find home in his family.

Our philosophy is that the church and family can do more together than either one can do alone. We want to work strategically, partner intentionally, and program appropriately, so that we can positively influence your child’s future. To support you, we’ve created gatherings that are geared to serving kids, others that are about equipping parents, and some that are meant to engage and equip families together.

Check out our calendar or contact us for more information about how we partner with families.

NOTE: Registration forms must be completed each year, and for any new attendees.

Hey Moms!
We  have a dedicated space just for you. The Mom’s room is located inside our Nursery (just ask a volunteer to direct you). It has comfortable chairs, a changing station, a refrigerator, and an audio feed from the service so you won’t miss a thing!
To respect everyone’s privacy, this room is for women only. There are additional baby change stations in our three main sets of washrooms, both male and female.

Preschool | ages 2+3

We have amazing parents, grandparents, teenagers, and volunteers of all ages taking turns to show love and care to our preschoolers each Sunday.  In addition to helping kids feel safe and make friends, our teams are here to support each child's faith journey by teaching weekly Bible stories, and facilitating games and activities to reinforce the weekly teachings. (September through May)

Kidsplosion is our mid-week discipleship program for students in JK-Grade 5.
Some nights are kids-only. On these nights, our leadership team engages kids in worship, interactive Bible stories, group games, discussions, and more!

Other nights are family-friendly (FX nights). Parents and kids come together to experience something amazing. Whether it’s a meal, a worship experience, or a missions opportunity, FX nights are designed to bring families together, and create meaningful, lasting memories.

Check out the CALENDAR for weekly details. There is no cost for Kidsplosion, but registration is required. Check in at the gym entrance.

PLEASE NOTE: This program is not currently running, due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Safety

Keeping your children safe and secure is top priority. Every child (infant through grade 5) is given a check-in tag that is matched with the parent’s identification number. All of our children’s leaders are screened with an interview and federal background check, and we have security personnel that monitor the exits and hallways.

Life Groups

We believe that building community within the family of God is of utmost importance. That’s why we begin life groups as early as first grade. These groups are designed to be a safe place for kids to make friends, discuss the Bible, have fun, and build an extended faith family.

Partnering with Parents

When the church and family work together, we can do more than either one can do alone. That’s why it’s important that parents walk their children’s faith journey along with them. We want to partner with parents on this journey.

See calendar for upcoming kids, parent and family events and programs.

CHILD DEDICATION

We believe there is huge value in following the Biblical example of child dedication. This is a public commitment in which parents declare their intent to raise their child in a home where Jesus is King. In turn, the church family commits to doing all that we can to love and support this child and family, as they grow together in Christ.
There are two parts to our Child Dedications at Parkwood:
The first is the CHILD DEDICATION WORKSHOP. With a small group of parents, we'll talk about important strategies for raising your child in God's family, and prepare for the Child Dedication Service.  This workshop is typically scheduled for 2 weeks before the Dedication Service.

The second is the CHILD DEDICATION SERVICE. During this special Sunday morning gathering, we set aside time to honour families who are committing to this church/family partnership.
