Parkwood Kids exists to help kids and families
find hope in the person of Jesus and find home in his family.

Our philosophy is that the church and family can do more together than either one can do alone.
We want to work strategically,  partner intentionally, and program appropriately, so that we can positively influence your child’s future.
To support you, we’ve created gatherings that are geared to serving kids, others that are about equipping parents, and some that are meant to engage and equip families together.

Enter at the Gym Entrance, and head right to the check-in centre to check in your child using our secure check-in system.  Ask any of our Welcome team volunteers to direct you, should you need help locating the Kids' Check In!
Check-in begins at 9:35AM and is required for all children being dropped off, and classroom doors open 15 minutes before gatherings.

What programs are available for my kids?

Nursery (ages 0-24 month)
Preschool (ages 2&3)
Grade 1-5
- Grade 1-5's will join you for worship, then head to their classrooms for programs when dismissed from "big church." During special Sundays, like Family Services and New Life Sundays, Grade 1-5's will remain in service the whole morning. We believe this helps kids to become more connected to their larger church family, so we treasure the times kids are in service with us!
Please come check in ASAP when you arrive to church as capacity is limited in all rooms.

What do the kids' programs look like?

Our programs look different depending on your kids ages, but in all the classroom we want to focus on building a safe and healthy community. That's why we have parents, grandparents, teenagers, and volunteers of all ages taking turns to show love and care to our kids each Sunday. Our schedules are filled with worship, Bible stories, games and activities to reinforce the weekly teachings, and, of course, there's always room for free play and snacks!

Want to come to church, but not comfortable with your kids joining our classes just yet?

That’s okay! We have a Wiggles and Giggles room—where you can bring your kids to play, colour, have a snack and, of course, wiggle and giggle—and you can enjoy a live stream of the main gathering while your kids play.

We also have at-home resources available for your family to use at home. Scroll down to access!
Hey Moms!
We  have a dedicated space just for you. The Moms Room is located inside our nursery (just ask a volunteer to direct you). It has comfortable chairs, a changing station, a refrigerator, and audio feed from the service so you won’t miss a thing! To respect everyone’s privacy, this room is for women only. There are additional baby changing stations in our three main washrooms, both male and female.

Join us for KIDSPLOSION—our midweek program for grades 1-5, full of creative Bible based teachings, worship, fun activities, connecting with leaders and other kids. Some nights are just for kids, and some nights, we'll invite parents to join the fun, so keep an eye out for special events!

KIDSPLOSION runs from 7-8:30PM.  Check-in begins 15 minutes before gatherings (required for all children being dropped off), and classroom doors open 15 minutes before program begins. Please check-in at the gym entrance upon arrival.

Kidsplosion runs Wednesday nights from September-May. For more info about each night, click here.

Join us for Mommy & Me--a time for young moms and babies, toddlers and preschoolers to connect and play from 9AM - noon! ‍ We know life with littles is busy and you're sometimes at the mercy of nap time, so drop in whenever and stay as long as you're able.

We believe the most important thing a parent can do is invest in their child's spiritual life at home. So whether you're looking for something to do at home with your kids on Sunday mornings until you're ready to come back to church or you just want a little extra something in your week,  we've gathered some of our favourite developmentally-appropriate Bible-based online resources for kids.

We love celebrating life with young families, and we believe there is huge value in following the biblical example of child dedication. This is a public commitment in which parents declare their intent to raise their child in a Christian home and follow the Lord’s leadership in the development of their child. In turn, the church family commits to doing all that we can to love and support this child and family as they grow together in our church.
